Privacy Policy
What this site collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Introduction
Open Grey is a brand of Futurepreneur Solutions Private Limited, a multimedia company working with brands and creators. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean that company. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, what we do with it, and how you can reach us about it.
It covers this website and the enquiry forms on it, and, as section 11 sets out, Grey Matter and Circle OG. It does not cover the separate written agreements we sign with clients, creators and partners; where one of those says something different about a specific project, that agreement governs it.
We have written this to be read. If anything here is unclear, ask us — the address is at the end.
What we collect
Most of what we hold is information you type into a form and send us on purpose. We do not buy personal data.
- Your name, email address and contact number.
- The message or query you write, in your own words.
- One extra detail on some forms, depending on which page you are on: the city you are in, the kind of creator or professional you are, or the brand you work for.
- Ordinary server records kept by our hosting provider — the IP address a request came from, the page asked for, and the time. These are technical logs, not a profile, and we do not join them to anything above.
If you allow cookies, Google Analytics also records how you used the site — see section 5.
How we use it
We use what you send us to answer you, and to do the work you are writing about.
- To reply to your enquiry, and to carry on that conversation.
- To assess a creator, builder or partner application you have made.
- To keep a record of enquiries so that nothing is lost between an email arriving and somebody acting on it.
- To keep the site working and protect it from abuse — for example, blocking a script sending the same form a thousand times.
- If you allow cookies, to see how the site is used and how people find it — see section 5.
We do not use your details to send marketing you did not ask for, and there is no mailing list on this site to be added to.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
Three kinds of people see it. The people at Open Grey who need to act on your message. The service providers who carry and store it for us — an email delivery provider that sends your message to our inbox, a database provider that keeps a copy so an enquiry cannot be lost, and the platforms that host this website. And anyone we are legally required to disclose it to, which we would resist where we properly could.
Those providers process the information on our instructions, for us, and for nothing else.
If you accept cookies, Google also receives information about your visit through Google Analytics — see section 5. It never receives what you type into a form.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies only if you allow them. The banner on your first visit lets you accept or reject them, and nothing below runs until you do.
- Analytics — Google Analytics, to count visitors, see which pages they read and how they found the site.
Google Analytics is run by Google under its own privacy policy. It is told when an enquiry form is sent, but never what you wrote in it.
We do not use advertising cookies or advertising pixels.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie choices link at the foot of this page.
Separately, your browser remembers your cookie choice and, on the front page, where you left the two cards. That stays on your device.
If any of this changes, this section will change with it, and the date at the top of this page will move.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while there is a reason to keep them — an open conversation, a live project, or a record we need for tax or contractual purposes. When there is no longer a reason, they are deleted.
You can ask us to delete yours sooner. See section 7.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or erase it. You can withdraw a consent you gave us, and you can nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.
Write to hello@opengrey.media and tell us what you want done. We will need enough detail to find your record and to be confident it is yours before we act on it, and we will answer within a reasonable time.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Your message travels to us over an encrypted connection, and it is stored with providers who encrypt it at rest. Access to the stored enquiries is limited to the people who need it, behind credentials that are not shared.
No system is perfect and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires, rather than hoping you do not notice.
Children
This site is meant for adults working with us professionally. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has sent us something through this site, write to hello@opengrey.media and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page and the date at the top of it moves. There is no archive of previous versions; if you need one, ask and we will send you what we have.
A change that materially affects what we do with information you have already given us will be told to you directly, not left here to be found.
Meta platforms (WhatsApp & Instagram)
We manage brand enquiries for the creators we represent through Grey Matter, our own tool, and Circle OG, the portal our creators sign in to. Both connect to WhatsApp Business and Instagram through Meta's official platforms. This section covers the information those tools handle, in addition to the website forms above.
- WhatsApp: the phone number and profile name of a business or person who messages one of our WhatsApp Business numbers, or a creator's business number connected to Grey Matter, and the messages and media (images, documents, voice notes) sent in that conversation.
- Instagram, public: the public profile of a creator we represent or are considering (username, bio, follower count, public posts and how they performed).
- Instagram, connected accounts: when a creator connects their Instagram professional account in Circle OG, using Instagram's official login, and accepts our agreement, we receive their profile (name, username, profile photo, account type, follower and post counts), their posts (caption, type, date, like and comment counts), which we use to show them their analytics in Circle OG, and their direct messages. That covers new messages from then on, and their messages from the 30 days before they connected, which we read once. The access Instagram gives us is stored encrypted.
- People who message a connected creator: your Instagram username, your name if Instagram gives it to us, and what you send.
Why we use it: to manage brand enquiries for the creators we represent, to reply to the businesses that write to us, to match a brief to the right creator, and to keep a record of each conversation so a deal is not lost.
How Instagram messages are sorted: we use Google's Gemini AI, as a service provider, to read a connected creator's messages and work out whether a conversation is a brand or agency enquiry. Enquiries, and conversations it is unsure about, go to the team members who work with that creator. New messages it is sure are fan, personal or spam are hidden from the team. Messages from before the creator connected are not kept if it is sure they are fan, personal or spam, or if the other person wrote no text.
Replies: with the creator's agreement, our team may reply to brands and agencies from the creator's Instagram account to handle a collaboration. They do not message fans, friends or anyone who is not a brand, and we record which team member sent each reply.
Who sees it: it is never sold and never used for advertising. An enquiry is shared only with the creator it concerns, and a creator's details only with the brand discussing work with them. Meta carries the messages under its own terms and privacy policy, and Google processes Instagram messages for us as described above.
How long we keep it: while the enquiry or our work with the creator is active, then it is deleted, unless a contract or tax rule needs us to keep a record longer. Raw copies of incoming Instagram messages are deleted within 30 days. When a creator disconnects their Instagram account, in Circle OG or from Instagram's own settings, new messages stop reaching us, our access is removed, and conversations that did not become a brand enquiry are deleted straight away. Records of deals we handled are kept for our accounts. A creator can ask us to delete what we still hold.
Your rights in section 7 apply to this information too. To have it deleted, see section 12.
Data deletion
To ask us to delete your personal data, including anything we received through WhatsApp or Instagram, email hello@opengrey.media with the subject "Delete my data", or send the message "DELETE MY DATA" on WhatsApp to +91 96675 29745.
We delete your data within 30 days of the request and write back to confirm when it is done. Step-by-step instructions are on our Data Deletion page at opengrey.media/about/data-deletion.
